Itinerary

Day 1

  • Arrival in London

    Welcome to England! Introductions to your Tour Manager and motor coach driver mark the commencement of your program. If time permits (dependent on flight arrivals), head to Windsor for a walk through this charming Thame-side town dominated by Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited castle in England and visit the John F Kennedy Memorial at Runnymede, where in 1215, King John sealed the Magna Carta, the basis of England's present constitution.
  • Coca-Cola London Eye

    Enjoy one of the most spectacular views of London from the tallest observation wheel in the Western Hemisphere, The Coca-Cola London Eye. This astonishing 443ft high ride provides a fantastic panoramic view of the city from 32 enclosed air-conditioned capsules. The height of the London Eye is the equivalent of 64 red telephone boxes piled on top of one another! WOW!

Day 2

  • Tower of London

    Explore the must-see Tower of London and make sure you take in a viewing of the 23,000 gems that make up the Crown Jewels collection. As a prison, The Tower of London was home to such famous prisoners as William Wallace who lead the Scottish against the English whilst fighting for independence, Anne Boleyn the beheaded 2nd wife of Henry VIII and Guy Fawkes who plotted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Also during your visit to the Tower of London you will notice may meet the Yeoman Warders, or "Beefeaters'', who guard the tower and are caretakers of the mysterious ravens. Legend has it that if the ravens never leave the Tower, the Kingdom will fall! Talk to the warders and discover if the legend is true !
  • River Thames Cruise

    Cruise the River Thames taking in many of the city's famous sights including the spectacular Tower Bridge.
  • Parliamentary Briefing

    Attend a prestigious London academic venue for your Parliamentarian Briefing. Today is all about politics, you will take part in an exclusive meeting with a current or former Member of Parliament. This unique opportunity, exclusive to ECE, explores the British Constitution and discusses the respective roles of the House of Commons, the House of Lords and the Monarch, and England's long standing political relationship with other nations.

Day 3

  • Drama Workshop

    Take part in a fun and interactive and personalised Drama Wworkshop with a LAMDA trained actor. Learn the importance of core drama skills such as improvisation and storytelling. The workshop encourages students to develop creativity, improve communication skills and build confidence in a fun and inviting atmosphere.
  • Cabinet War Rooms

    Explore the facinating interactive museum held in the underground bunker used by Churchill and his cabinet to strategise during the Second World War.
  • West End Show

    Spend some time in Covent Garden home to many of London’s amazing and historical theatres; join the throngs of other theatre goers at one of the many restaurants for a delicious pre theatre dinner before you take to your seats at one of London’s popular West End shows.

Day 4

  • Discover London with a Blue Badge Guide

    A Blue Badge Guide - an expert on England's capital, will guide you through London’s many world famous sites, attractions and buildings often seen in the movies. See the lions in Trafalgar Square, the magnificent Palace of Westminster, St. Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge and the most famous clock in the world, Big Ben.
  • Changing the Guard

    Witness the splendour of the Changing the Guard, military ceremony at Buckingham Palace, London home of the British Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. The ceremony encompasses a colourful spectacle and British pageantry and is a must see for visitors to London.
  • Warwick Castle & Encampment

    Spend the afternoon exploring the grounds of the exquisite Warwick Castle and experience 1100 years of jaw-dropping history. See the state-rooms, visit the gardens and watch the displays with the birds of prey. In the evening enjoy an exclusive Medieval encampment re-enactment led by Knights and warriors who will instruct you in battle manoeuvres, sword play , bill drill and the art of archery! The day will end with a bang as you witness the amazement of the world’s largest trebuchet (Catpapult) firing over the grounds of this historic castle.

Day 5

  • Orientation of Stratford Upon Avon

    A Blue Badge Guide - an expert on England's capital, will guide you through London’s many world famous sites, attractions and buildings often seen in the movies.   • School Immersion Experience

    Make the most of this unique opportunity to mix with British Students at an English School. Experience traditional lessons and lunch in the school canteen on a day designed to fully immerse you in the daily life of British school children.
  • Punting in Oxford

    Take in the beauty of Oxford, city of dreaming spires, on board a traditional punting boat on the River Cherwell. Glide past Christchurch College and under Magdalen Bridge as you soak up the atmosphere of the English university town.
